Expatriat journey Part 1

Weew…tinggal 1 hari lagi sebelum kepulangan yang kedua dari perjalanan menjadi expatriat di negeri orang. Eittts…ntar dulu, pergi aja belum kok dah mau balik lagi yang kedua….heuheehuheu. Begini ceritanya.

Proxy damn s**t

Grrrr……..I still can’t configure my IM on linux. Almost 3 days and I still stuck on the same things. Actually, I still can use another IM tools like Meebo, but there are some limitation like can’t transfer files and can’t send “large amount” of text. May be if I open an account on that site will provide additional features rather use the free one. But still not sure…coz I’m sick have many account that I can’t remember user ID and password .

Yeahhh…don’t give up !!

Mulai nge-blog lagi

Weeew, dah lama banget sejak posting terakhir gw. Awalnya gara-gara beberapa hari yang lalu bung ropek nanyain blog gw. Hehehhe….jd malu anak IT ga punya blog (Padahal seh punya, tapi tau masih active atau kagak. Kalaupun masih active, gw keknya lupa ama ID n passwordnya ).

Anyway, by the way, bus way… Gw sempet buka juga account di jRoller, secara gw sendiri kalo bisa dibilang orang Sunda, tapi bahasa sehari-hari gw sekarang Jawa (Heheheh…jadi mo ketawa kalo inget salah satu bro di kantor lama dulu. Dia selalu sebut Jawa untuk bahasa yang satu ini). Pernah juga request untuk blog account di Indonesia Dot Net Developer Community. Tapi siaul…kagak di process-process.

Tapi gw cukup puas dengan wordpress sekarang. Load page sudah tidak seperti dulu lagi, yang bisa bikin gw prepare coklat susu dulu (gw ga hobby ngopi bow :-p). Pilihan untuk theme juga jadi salah satu pertimbangan bagi gw. Secara gw orangnya bosenan (in positive way loh tapi ). Pokoknya…seep lah wordpress. Keep better and up 2 date dude !!

Wah, udeh dulu neh keknya. Orang-orang dah mulai pada kerja (padahal dah bingung mo tulis apa lagi :-p )….

Basic XML – Part 1

Ternyata….setelah kurang lebih bermain-main dengan XML sekitar 10 hari, gw tau juga cara mengakses sekaligus menulis XML file. Berhubung minggu-minggu kemaren agak sibuk dengan kerjaan kantor (kapan seh kerja di perusahaan gw yang sekarang gak sibuk :p ), baru sempet gw tulis hari ini deh.

Dari kesulitan yang gw alami dengan banyaknya interface yang disediakan oleh DOM, ternyata “cuma” 4 interface saja yang digunakan untuk dapat bermain-main dengan XML file (ini menurut document MSDN yg gw dapet ).

The MSXML library provides a wide range of objects that you can use to deal with the complexity of XML. Just as most of that complexity is beyond the scope of this article, most of the objects are unnecessary for the simple job of parsing straightforward XML. In fact, you can do the job with only four objects.

Sebelumnya, pastikan dulu MSXML telah di tambahkan ke bagian reference dari project.

XML, what the ….. !

Almost one week I try to explore about this thing. The syntax is similar like pure HTML. Based on my experience on HTML, is not a big deal for me to adapt with this thing.

Then, I try to implement it into VB6 code (because my project now is in VB6). And……………welcome to XML world. Nice to meet you DOM. Do I know you SAX ?

Processsing XML file is not so easy like processing plain teks file. There is an interface that handle between XML file and the application. DOM and SAX are the interface that I mention before.

Unfortunately, lack of information in internet about implementing XML file into VB6. May be I’m not search at all.

Sometimes, I wondering how come a browser parse a HTML into a “human” page. Woww….the engine must be so cool.
